Overview

The report is AbbVie's first ESG report and describes its 2020 response to COVID-19, racial-equity investments, patient access, employee inclusion and community programs. It reports 48,000 employees, with women representing 54% of the global workforce and 49% of management. Environmental highlights include a 24% reduction in carbon emissions from the 2015 baseline, 89% waste diversion and 18% lower water consumption. The report also presents 2025 and 2035 absolute carbon-reduction targets and states that specified environmental and safety data were assured by DNV GL.
