Overview

The report presents AEON's first Sustainability Statement, covering 1 January-31 December 2016 and material social and environmental issues. It reports 1,626 employees trained, RM5.1 million spent on employee training, and 92.0% receiving training. Environmental initiatives included planting 26,048 trees and a weekly No Plastic Bag Day across stores. Community activities raised RM1.7 million through the Malaysian AEON Foundation and supported four schools with RM399,000.
