The report describes AFP's first complete, whole-network carbon footprint assessment, based on 2022 data and prepared using GHG Protocol methodology. It also documents strengthened journalist-safety measures following the deaths and injuries associated with conflict reporting. Operational AI use is presented as limited and supervised by newsroom journalists, supporting indexing, transcription, translation and metadata extraction.
