Sustainability Performance Report

Overview

The report describes AGL's FY2011 sustainability performance across its Australian group and operational-control boundary. Renewable energy capacity reached 45% of operated capacity after 132 MW of new renewable generation commenced operation, while the operational greenhouse footprint was 1.596 MtCO2e and Scope 3 emissions were 332 ktCO2e. The workforce comprised 2,083 employees at year-end and the report recorded no fatalities. Net Balance independently assured the report using AA1000AS, and the report met an A+ GRI Application Level.
