Overview

The report presents Air Canada's 2014 sustainability performance across four pillars: safety, environment, employees and community, and includes its wholly owned leisure subsidiaries. It reports 9,462,587 tonnes CO2e of Scope 1 emissions and 1,383,173 for the Scope 3 series, while describing fuel-efficiency and fleet-renewal initiatives. Air Canada also reports approximately 28,000 employees and an 18 per cent female board as of May 2015. For the first time, it obtained third-party limited assurance for select indicators and declared preparation under GRI G4 Core.
