Overview

The report describes a challenging 2018 steel market with soft domestic demand, oversupply and higher raw-material and fuel costs, while export sales helped mitigate the impact. Group revenue rose 5.45% to RM2.32 billion, although pre-tax profit fell 40.70% to RM149.95 million. The Group also reported that 2,090,000 shares from its 2017 Share Grant Plan awards vested in 2018 and that two Sustainability Steering Committee meetings approved the Sustainability Report.
