Overview

The report describes Apple's progress toward reducing environmental impacts in fiscal year 2017. The company reported powering 100 percent of its global operations with renewable energy and reducing its comprehensive carbon footprint to 27.5 million metric tons of greenhouse gases. It also introduced Daisy, a robot designed to recover high-quality materials from iPhones. Across its facilities, Apple generated 53,800 metric tons of waste and diverted about 71 percent from landfill.
