The report highlights Asda's 2022 roadmap to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions within its own operations by 2040 and its total carbon footprint of 28,295,682 tCO2e. It also reports 86.2% operational-waste recycling alongside a 7% reduction in operational waste. Through its charity partnerships, stores, depots and home offices, the company donated 2,182 tonnes of food, equivalent to more than 5.1 million meals.
