Overview

The report presents AIIB's inaugural ISSB-applied sustainability disclosure for 2024, covering climate risks, opportunities and institutional emissions. It reports 67% climate finance and 98% of newly approved projects aligned with the Green Infrastructure thematic priority. It discloses own-operations emissions of 143 tCO2e Scope 1, 7,394 tCO2e location-based Scope 2 and 16,283 tCO2e Scope 3, plus 724,063 tCO2e of financed emissions for 27% of the outstanding portfolio value. It also describes a 2025 institutional carbon-neutrality target and renewable electricity sourcing for headquarters.
