Overview

The report covers Astellas Group activities from April 1, 2005 to March 31, 2006, following the newly formed group's first year. It reports global CO2 emissions from energy use of 214,000 tons, down 4% from fiscal 1996, and waste generation of 39,097 tons with 570 tons landfilled. The report also presents 14,965 consolidated employees and 45 work-related injury cases. Environmental, safety and compliance activities are organized through a CSR Committee under the Corporate Executive Committee, and major domestic and overseas production facilities hold ISO 14001 certification.
