Overview

The report shows Astral's strong 2024 recovery, with revenue of R20 480 million and operating profit of R1 125 million after the severe 2023 disruption. Environmental disclosures report total energy consumption of 3 124 292 GJ, direct and indirect carbon emissions of 472 382 tCO2e, and 97% of total waste diverted from disposal. Water use was 6 707 791 kl, supported by recycling and treatment projects. The Astral Cares programme continued its community and employee support, with CSI spend of R5.3 million.
