Environmental Sustainability Report

Overview

The report documents ANU's 2025 environmental performance, including 181,980 tCO2e of market-based total emissions and 100% renewable electricity across all University sites from 1 January 2025. It records progress under the Environmental Management Plan, including a 78% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions since 2019 and expanded full-value-chain Scope 3 reporting. The report also highlights completion of ANU's first organisation-wide climate risk assessment and continued work on water, circular economy and biodiversity initiatives.
