Overview

The report describes BAE Systems' 2008 progress in embedding corporate responsibility across the Group. Safety performance improved, with days lost to work-related injuries falling to 9,336, although five employees died during the year. Environmental reporting records total energy use of 1,655 GWh and CO2 emissions relating to energy use of 0.66 million tonnes, while the report also presents an estimated 2007 global carbon footprint of around 920,000 tonnes.
