Overview

The report describes BNY's 2024 sustainability progress across financial opportunity, environmental performance and trust. It completed a double materiality assessment for its European Bank legal entity and maintained carbon neutrality for the tenth consecutive year. Operational disclosures report 8,291 mtCO2e of Scope 1 emissions, 91,036 mtCO2e of location-based Scope 2 emissions and 265,894 MWh of total energy consumption. Apex independently verified Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 Category 6 business travel emissions at a limited assurance level.
