The report presents Scotiabank's CSR approach as integrated into day-to-day business and organized around Governance, Economic and Social impact. In 2012, the Bank reported 81,497 employees excluding affiliates and about CAD$53 million in global donations, sponsorships and other assistance. It also disclosed a 153,127 metric-tonne CO2e footprint for Canada and international operations, with completeness and accuracy verified by an independent third party.
