Overview

The report presents Baxter's 2012 global sustainability performance across governance, employees, environmental stewardship, product responsibility, supply chain and community engagement. The company reported 22% renewable energy in operations, 63,430 metric tons of total waste and a total Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 footprint estimated at 4.7 million metric tons CO2e. Baxter also reported improved safety performance and included reasonable external assurance by Bureau Veritas over EHS, supply chain and selected product responsibility content.
