ESG Annual Report

Overview

The report describes BCI's 2022 ESG work across governance, investment integration, influence and capacity building. The board reviewed and revised the ESG Governance Policy and established reporting and performance metrics, while BCI appointed its first global head of ESG and grew ESG staff to 16. BCI completed 260 ESG reviews across public and private-market opportunities and invested in 26 sustainable bond issues valued at over $1.45 billion. It also updated its Climate Action Plan in support of the global goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.
