Overview

The report presents Beyond Meat's 2023 ESG approach around plant-based products and identifies climate change management, consumer education and safety, and health and nutrition as its top ESG priorities. It reports Scope 1 emissions of 7,999.40 mtCO2e, location-based Scope 2 emissions of 9,160.00 mtCO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of 176,654 mtCO2e. Selected Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 Category 1 indicators received independent limited assurance from ERM CVS. Operational highlights include 128,603 GJ of total energy use, 5% renewable energy, and a 38.0% non-hazardous landfill diversion rate.
