Overview

The report shows BHP's FY2019 operational Scope 1 and 2 emissions were 14.7 million tonnes CO2-e, 3 per cent below the FY2017 baseline. It also describes a US$400 million Climate Investment Program over five years to reduce emissions and develop solutions. Water disclosures report 352,950 ML of withdrawals and 268,620 ML of consumption. Safety performance included one workplace fatality, alongside continued reporting on contractor safety and health programs.
