Overview

The report describes Billerud's 2011 sustainability performance, including a 39% reduction in fossil carbon dioxide emissions per tonne of product from the 2008 base year and a revised -30% target for 2013. It reports that 96% of heat energy and self-generated electricity requirements were met by biofuel. The sustainability report was prepared to GRI level A and also served as the company's UN Global Compact Communication on Progress. No fatal accidents occurred during the year.
