Corporate Social Responsibility Report

Overview

The report describes BNP Paribas' 2011 responsibility strategy across economic, social, civic and environmental activities. It reports 198,423 Group employees at year-end, 27,649 new hires worldwide and substantial workforce diversity and training initiatives. Environmental indicators include 673,543 tCO2-e of greenhouse gas emissions, 1,951 GWh of building energy consumption, 9.3% renewable energy and 37,240 tonnes of office waste. Selected social, environmental and societal indicators were reviewed by PricewaterhouseCoopers, with reasonable assurance for social and environmental data and limited assurance for societal data.
