Overview

The report describes BP's 2009 sustainability performance across diverse and low-carbon energy, safety, people, environmental management and community impacts. Group-wide greenhouse gas emissions were reported at 65.0Mte, while the operating management system had been rolled out to 70 operations. The review records 18 fatalities in total, comprising two at BP-operated sites and 16 in a third-party-operated helicopter accident, and reports 80,300 employees at year-end.
