Annual Sustainability Report

Overview

The report presents Brisbane Airport Corporation's first public sustainability report for FY16 under the GRI framework, structured around Economic, Operations, Environment and Social pillars. It reports 1.75 TWhrs of energy used, 45,856 tCO2 emitted, and 1.79 GWhrs saved through solar PV and energy-efficiency projects. BAC reports 2,170 tonnes of waste generated and 570 tonnes diverted from landfill, alongside potable and recycled water use. The workforce disclosure reports 372 BAC staff, while the occupational health and safety table records zero fatalities for calendar year 2015.
