Trustees' Report And Accounts

The report describes the British Red Cross's 2018 humanitarian work across the UK and overseas, including support for displaced people, health crises and emergency response. It reports 1,400 UK emergencies and 26 international emergencies, alongside more than 18,000 volunteers and nearly 4,000 staff. Financially, total income was £243.3m, while carbon emissions from heat and power had been reduced by 4,154 tonnes (52%) since the start of the programme. The report also highlights strengthened safeguarding, modern slavery commitments and gender-pay reporting.
