Overview

The report describes Brussels Airport Company's integrated sustainability strategy, built around five priorities including waste reduction, local air quality, diversity, sustainable infrastructure and smart mobility. It reports 15,132 tonnes of actual CO2 emissions in 2018, a 33% reduction from 2010, against a 40% reduction target by 2030. The airport says all airside passenger buses became electric in March 2019 and estimates 400 tonnes of CO2 saved annually. It also documents biodiversity actions, including sheep grazing at the noise barrier and planting replacement oaks.
