Overview

The report presents Cadent's second year as a standalone gas distribution business, with 2018/19 revenue of £1,995m and 3,968 direct employees at year end. It reports a 68% GHG reduction since 1990, ahead of its 45% 2020 target, while remaining committed to an 80% reduction by 2050. Nearly 90% of office and depot electricity came from renewable sources, and 1,701km of mains were replaced. Cadent also connected 32 biomethane plants and progressed the HyDeploy hydrogen trial.
