Sustainability Performance Report

Overview

The report presents CTC's 2021 sustainability initiatives as net new environmental benefits, reporting 70,084 gigajoules of energy use avoided, 6,172 tonnes of GHG emissions avoided, and 22,093 tonnes of waste avoided. Rooftop solar installations generated 36,951 GJ of low-carbon energy. The report describes the corporate stores and distribution centres' combined diversion rate as 79%, reported as 78.9% in the initiative table; Greater Toronto Area distribution centres maintained a 90% rate for the sixth consecutive year.
