Overview

The report is Capital Power's inaugural corporate responsibility disclosure for 2009 and covers Capital Power Corporation and its subsidiaries on a consolidated basis. It reports 11.85 million tonnes of direct greenhouse gas emissions, separately identifying 626,117 tonnes from biomass and landfill gas, and records 48 reportable environmental incidents, none considered material. The year-end workforce totaled 1,068 permanent and temporary employees.
