Overview

The report presents Caterpillar's 2015 sustainability performance across operations and governance. It reports a 32 percent reduction in facility GHG emissions intensity from the 2006 base year and 27.1 percent of electrical energy from renewable or alternative sources. Absolute water consumption was 3.82 billion gallons, while 676,000 metric tons of by-product materials were generated and 90 percent recycled. Caterpillar also introduced a human-rights policy and aligned its impact-assessment process with the UN Guiding Principles.
