Environmental Report

Overview

The report is Cementir Holding's first Environmental Report and presents 2007 environmental performance for cement plants in Italy, Turkey and Denmark, whose output represents about 92% of total Group cement output. It reports 6.927 million metric tons of CO2 emissions and separates energy into 35,313 TJ of direct and 4,403 TJ of indirect energy. The report also describes alternative-fuel use and sets objectives to reduce emissions and water use, contain energy consumption, increase alternative fuels and improve accident ratios.
