Overview

The report presents Cementir Group's 2010 environmental and HSE performance across cement and ready-mixed concrete operations. It reports 6.8 million metric tons of CO2 emissions from Group plants, 43,526 metric tons of waste, and 4.46 million cubic meters of water used in cement facilities. HSE investment reached EUR 12.6 million, including EUR 3.1 million for safety, while no fatal accident occurred in Group plants. Major initiatives included alternative-fuel use, the Taranto RDF project, Turkish waste recovery, and the Zero Infortuni safety program.
