Overview

The report presents Cenovus's 2017 corporate responsibility performance across environmental, social and governance topics. It reports company-wide direct GHG emissions of 8.411 MT CO2E and energy use of 135.040 millions GJ, alongside fresh water use of 22.973 Mbbls. The workforce comprised 2,882 employees and 976 contractors, with zero company-wide fatalities reported. Ernst & Young provided reasonable assurance over three GHG indicators and limited assurance over six other indicators.
