Overview

The report presents Cenovus's 2018 ESG performance across climate, energy, workforce, safety and community topics. Company-wide direct GHG emissions were 8.454 MT CO2E and energy use was 146.182 millions GJ. The workforce totaled 3,042 people, comprising 2,264 employees and 778 contractors, while one work-related fatality was reported. EY provided reasonable assurance over the GHG indicators and limited assurance over selected wider ESG indicators.
