Overview

The report describes the Group's 2019 ESG performance for its biochemical business under direct operational control. It reports 0.19 million tonnes of Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions and 1.43 million gigajoules of total energy consumption; coal's share of total energy consumption fell from 57% in 2018 to 37% in 2019 after the Zhumadian factory switched to natural gas. The Group recorded zero work-related fatalities, while employees completed more than 19,300 aggregate training hours, around 25 hours per employee.
