Sustainability Report

Overview

The report presents Sinopec's 2020 group-wide sustainability performance across climate, environmental, safety, human rights and community programs. It reports 170.94 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent of GHG emissions, a 2050 carbon-neutral ambition, and a target to reduce emissions by 12.6 million tonnes by 2023 from a 2018 base. It documents 384,065 employees, 643.20 million cubic metres of industrial fresh-water withdrawal, and 1,710.8 thousand tonnes of non-hazardous waste. An independent PwC Zhong Tian limited assurance report covers selected 2020 key data.
