Overview

The report presents CIMB Group's 2019 sustainability agenda around its Forward23 strategy, seven priority SDGs, sustainable finance and group-level governance. It reports 2019 operational GHG emissions of 4,434.4 tCO2e Scope 1, 73,377.5 tCO2e Scope 2 and 173.7 tCO2e Scope 3, alongside energy consumption of 125,930.3 MWh. People disclosures include 35,265 employees and 11% female representation on the Board. KPMG provided limited assurance over selected indicators, while CIMB describes a Sustainability Council reporting to the Group CEO with Board oversight.
