Sustainability Report

Overview

The report describes CIMB's 2022 sustainability progress across ASEAN, including RM27.8 billion of sustainable finance mobilised and a target of RM60 billion by 2024. It reports a 22% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions against the 2019 baseline and established Paris-aligned 2030 targets for thermal coal mining and cement. The Group reported 33,252 employees at year-end and invested RM34.4 million in communities. The report also covers strengthened sustainability governance, human rights due diligence, biodiversity policies and extensive employee and community programmes.
