Overview

The report presents Citi's 2009 Citizenship priorities across responsible finance, access to financial services, people and environmental performance. It reports $5.11 billion directed to climate-change initiatives in 2009 and a 9 percent reduction in GHG emissions from 2008, while setting longer-term absolute-emissions reduction goals from a 2005 base year. Citi also reports 387 transactions reviewed under its environmental and social risk policy, 170 cumulative LEED projects, and 259,988 employee volunteer hours.
