Overview

The report describes Citi's 2019 ESG activities across financing, operations, risk management, human rights, supply chain, talent and ethics. It highlights $164 billion in environmental finance from 2014-2019, surpassing the company's $100 billion goal four years early, and reports 199,903 employees globally. Operational disclosures include 23,289 tCO2e Scope 1, 593,611 tCO2e location-based Scope 2 and 36,370 metric tonnes of total waste. The report was prepared in accordance with the GRI Standards: Core option and includes TCFD, UNGC and UNGP indexes, with SGS verification of environmental data and Equator Principles reporting.
