Overview

The report describes Continental's 2019 sustainability strategy around climate protection, clean mobility, circular economy, and sustainable supply chains. It reports 3.22 million metric tons of own Scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions, 9.6 TWh of total energy use, and 409,280 metric tons of waste. The company set carbon-neutrality goals for production processes by 2040 and its entire value chain by 2050. Continental reported 241,458 employees at year-end and external assurance over its non-financial statement and selected Scope 3 disclosures.
