Overview

The report describes how the Cosmo Oil Group responded to the April 2006 Chiba Refinery fire, subsequent legal violations, and a broad internal investigation, including corrective safety, compliance and governance measures. It reports FY2005 environmental performance through a new group-wide environmental plan, including a 13.5% cut in refinery unit energy consumption and a 0.8% refinery landfill rate.
