Overview

The report presents Covestro's first full application of the ESRS and a consolidated double materiality assessment covering the Group and value chain. It reports 2024 gross Scope 1 emissions of 1.01 million metric tons of CO2 equivalents, location-based Scope 2 emissions of 4.32 million metric tons, and total energy consumption of 15,266,000 MWh. The Group had 18,021 employees at December 31, 2024 and maintains net-zero targets for Scope 1 and 2 by 2035 and Scope 3 by 2050.
