Overview

The report describes Danone's 2011 progress across its four strategic priorities, including a 27.5% reduction in carbon footprint from 2008 and healthcare coverage improvements for 28,000 employees. It reports 101,885 employees, 4,103,511 MWh of total energy, 35,352 thousand m3 of water consumption and 284 thousand metric tons of waste generated. KPMG provided limited assurance over the Danone Way results and selected environmental and social indicators. The report also documents GRI 3.0 alignment and Danone's UN Global Compact membership.
