Annual Sustainability Performance Report

Overview

The report reviews EDF Energy's 2010 sustainability performance, including the launch of public Sustainability Commitments and a reduction in electricity-generation carbon intensity from 813g/kWh in 2006 to 218g/kWh. It reports that the Sustainable Schools Programme reached more than 3.1 million schoolchildren and over 11,000 schools, ahead of its target. The report also covers progress on customer support, employee engagement, nuclear responsibility, and waste reduction. Independent assurance was provided by Two Tomorrows.
