Overview

The report describes ENEC's 2014 construction-stage sustainability performance, including Barakah Unit 1 reaching 68% completion and zero fatalities among employees, contractors and subcontractors. It reports 262,662 metric tons CO2e of total GHG emissions, calculated using GHG Protocol tools, with 2014 Scope 1, 2 and 3 totals of 3,873, 57,762 and 201,027 metric tons CO2e. ENEC's workforce reached 1,372 employees, with 21% female employment and 14% female representation on the board. Local suppliers received 87% of US$232 million in procurement spending.
