Sustainable Development Report

Overview

The report describes Statoil's 2003 performance across a 19,326-person workforce, including 10.0 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions from operations. It sets a target to reduce annual greenhouse gas emissions by 1.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent by 2010. The report also records two work-related fatalities, both involving contractors, and includes a GRI index and an independent Ernst & Young review.
