Overview

The report covers calendar year 2021 and describes Equity Residential's second materiality assessment, portfolio-wide climate-risk work, and ESG oversight by the Corporate Governance Committee. It reports 70,696 metric tons of Scope 1 emissions, 42,829 metric tons for each Scope 2 method, and 150,888 metric tons of Scope 3 emissions, alongside a 30% Scope 1, 2 and 3 intensity-reduction target by 2030 from a 2018 baseline. LRQA provided limited assurance over selected GHG, energy, water, and waste data.
