Overview

The report describes Evergy's lower-carbon strategy, including carbon dioxide emissions down by about 40% since 2005 and sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide reductions of 98% and 87%. It highlights renewable generation, more than 1,100 EV charging stations, energy-efficiency savings of more than one million megawatt hours annually, and nearly half of served power from emission-free sources when nuclear is included. Community and inclusion efforts included more than 25,000 employee volunteer hours and more than $107 million spent with diverse suppliers.
