Overview

The report describes how GS Yuasa uses battery and power-supply technologies to support a sustainable society and reduce environmental impacts across the product life cycle. For fiscal 2011, consolidated sales were 2,854 in the report's 100 million yen scale and consolidated businesses employed 12,265 people. The four-office Japanese material-flow data records 81,093 tCO2 of manufacturing emissions, 6,304 t of recycling and 48,725 kL of manufacturing energy. The U.S. subsidiary also installed more than 1,000 photovoltaic panels generating about 250,000 kWh/year.
