Overview

The report presents the Group's 2018/19 ESG performance through a comprehensive 22-issue materiality assessment covering environmental, social and operational topics. Total GHG emissions were reported at 7,634,080 kgCO2e, with Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 disclosed separately. The Group reported no hazardous waste and 17,700 tonne of non-hazardous waste, and described recycling treated wastewater without direct discharge. Community highlights included local-government recognition for poverty alleviation and hiring mining-area employees from nearby villages.
